Steps
Step 1
240 ml Warm milk · 30 g Sugar · 7 g Dry yeast
Mix the warm milk with the yeast and a teaspoon of the sugar. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, until the mixture is foamy.
Step 2
500 g Wheat flour · 30 g Sugar · 60 g Melted butter · 1 Egg · 5 g Salt
Add the flour, the remaining sugar, the egg, the melted butter, and the salt. Knead until you have a smooth, elastic dough.
Step 3
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Step 4
50 g Softened butter for the filling · 100 g Brown sugar · 2 tbsp Ground cinnamon
Roll the dough out into a rectangle. Spread it with the softened butter and sprinkle the brown sugar mixed with the cinnamon over the top.
Step 5
Roll up the dough along the long side and cut it into 8 pieces. Place them in a baking pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Step 6
100 g Cream cheese · 60 g Powdered sugar · 1 tbsp Milk for the frosting
Bake at 180 °C for 20–22 minutes, until golden brown. Beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and tablespoon of milk, and spread the frosting over the warm rolls.
